Students and notebooks go hand in hand. Still, for a student to take full advantage of their notebooks, they need to be organized properly. For a few tips on how to have notebooks that can help you achieve your academic goals, continue reading.

How to Have an Organized Notebook

  1. If you truly want to keep your notebooks organized, you first need to have one for every subject (and use them accordingly), so your notes don't get mixed up.
  2. It's also a good idea to put your name (and maybe even your grade) in your notebooks, to ensure they get back to you if you lose them.
  3. To make your study sessions easier and more effective, write a date and title on each of the pages in your notebook, so you can track down your notes faster.
  4. Organizing your ideas is also important, which is why you should make an effort to be as clear as possible when you're writing on your notebooks.
  5. If you keep loose papers in your notebooks, it's likely you'll lose them. To avoid this, don't rip pages from your notebooks, and keep other papers in your folders.
  6. Notes filled with mistakes and doodles can be very distracting. To keep your focus as you study, try to keep your notebooks clean.
  7. Finally, create indexes for your notebooks to keep them even more organized. Just number the pages and, on the back of your notebook, write down what lesson is on which page.
